Experience West Africa with ASKY Airlines

ASKY Airlines is the latest airline to participate in my project of visiting all countries and territories in the world. ASKY covers most of the Western part of Africa and has done so since it began operation in January 2010 after being founded in 2008. ASKY sponsored a return flight to Bangui, the capital of the Central African Republic, from Douala in Cameroon. The flights were comfortable with free drinks and food onboard. I really enjoyed the fligths and the staff even spoke English and was very kind.

A flight experience is not something you will have a lot to write about, such as a hotel experience, so I will instead focus on ASKY's incredible route map covering almost all of West Africa. From it's base in Lomé, Togo, ASKY operates flights to the following destinations: Abidjan, Abuja, Accra, Addis Ababa, Bamako, Bangui, Bissau, Brazzaville, Conakry, Cotonou, Dakar, Douala, Kinshasa, Lagos, Libreville, Malabo, Monrovia (although currently suspented due to the Ebola), N'Djamena, Niamey, Ouagadougou, Pointe-Noire and Yaoundé. ASKY also has an online booking system, which one might still consider rather unusual for an airline in this part of the world.

I am thankful for ASKY as I managed to visit one of the most dangerous countries and cities in the world in comfort. A country you can soon read more about here on my website.
