Superior room at Barceló Aran Park Hotel, Rome
After almost 24 hours of traveling from Manila, we finally arrived in Italy and our first hotel for this group tour is the Barceló Aran Park Hotel which is approximately 30 mins. from Fiumicino - Leonardo da Vinci Airport.
Barceló Aran Park Hotel is located in a quiet residential area near the restored Castello della Cecchignola, which is now a museum filled with Roman & medieval elements and has an art library, plus space for conferences & events. Moving on to our room...
The hotel has 325 spacious and bright rooms, refurbished in 2014 and decorated in a modern and innovative style. They are fully equipped, and have free Wi-Fi connection and 40" LCD cable TV.
The bathroom is spacious except for the shower area. Towels and toiletries were provided too.
Here's the dining area where all group tours have their buffet breakfast and dinner. We pretty much had the same food during our stay which consists mostly of bread, pasta, fish, etc. Medyo nakakaumay. And since we're in Europe, get ready to drink carbonated water. They do have natural though, you just need to request for a bottle that costs around €2.00. When in Europe (or traveling), do not convert to peso. Lol. Photo grabbed from their website.
Some rooms had water inside the fridge and some didn't have any at all. Since my sister and I are heavy water drinkers, we drank them all assuming that they're complimentary bottles from the hotel. LOL. The hotel or tour leader didn't charge us before checking out so I assumed it's complimentary. As for the wifi connection? It was ok and easy to connect to.

Since we're traveling as a group of course I have no idea how much the agency spent on our stay but according to the Barceló Aran Park website the overnight rate with breakfast is €182.00 per night (tax inclusive).
As for the service? They were ok despite the language barrier. But not the most hospitable crew out there. I remember asking the reception how to adjust the temperature (medyo mainit at that time around 20C) but he didn't help at all. Probably because they don't turn on the centralized aircondition during spring? To solve our problems we just left the windows open to let the cool breeze in.
