Angkor Heritage Boutique Hotel

Finally, after months of waiting I was off to Siem Reap once more but this time with my closest buds from college. Nothing beats traveling with friends! ;) It probably took us around 4-5 months to prepare for the trip. We needed to be emotionally, mentally, physically, and of course financially prepared for this one. LOL. Anyway, I wanted this trip to be relaxing so I asked my friend to lead the group and prepare for our itinerary.

My friends picked the place and I booked directly with Angkor Heritage Boutique Hotel.
Photo of the entrance grabbed from MoveToCambodia.com.

We got a family suite (that's two connecting rooms) good for 5 adults. As expected our room was big and really spacious. First room on the left had a queen-sized bed while the other had two double beds.

Each suite has its own bathroom with separate shower area plus a bath tub.

Say hello to Jay and Faye. :)

That's Rap and Jamie goofing around like a boss in our bathrobes. Haha.

They serve buffet breakfast. It's not the best as expected but at least we have full stomachs to start our day.

They serve the usual favorites for breakfast like bacon, sausage, etc. I like their pineapple rice. :)

They also have a separate area for those who want Cambodian noodles. They call it Kuy Teav, it's a popular noodle dish in Cambodia served mostly during breakfast.

Fruits and bread for those who want to have something light for breakfast.

After breakfast, we had some time off to chill by the pool area. Most hotels in Siem Reap have saltwater pools. I have no idea why but I guess it's cheaper to maintain saltwater compared to the regular pool.

Here's Jay relaxing by the pool, eager to get a tan.

To end this review, I give Angkor Heritage Boutique Hotel 3 stars. It's a nice hotel but needed minor repairs like our shower doors in room 209. May I suggest the hotel management to provide bigger hotel signs along National Highway 6? Tuktuk drivers aren't that familiar with the hotel mainly because a lot of hotels in Siem Reap have Angkor in its name. Anyway, the people working here are so nice and accommodating at the same time. Will I stay again in this hotel? No, but I'm definitely recommending it to first time visitors in Siem Reap. ;)
