Introduction: Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel is a chic, contemporary retreat set amidst the timeless style of Belgravia Village. Set in a serene, leafy London square, this 88-room boutique hotel is just yards from Knightsbridge’s most fashionable stores, including Harrods and Harvey Nichols.
Guests can enjoy modern British dining at Lowndes Bar & Kitchen, outdoor summer dining at The Terrace and a collection of superbly appointed, contemporary bedrooms and suites (all with complimentary Wi-Fi). You are also welcome to use the facilities at The Peak Health Club & Spa, one of London’s most exclusive health clubs, at the nearby Jumeirah Carlton Tower. Situated with easy access to Hyde Park and the West End, Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel is an ideal base from which to explore London and a calming, luxurious retreat.
Above information is how the hotel presents itself on their website.
Below is my experience based on a one-night stay at the property.
My arrival experience: Fast and friendly check-in before I was escorted to the room.
What I loved: The design and the great service in all areas of the hotel.
What about the food: Excellent a la carte breakfast. The breakfast tends to be very good at hotels in London and this hotel is no exception.
What about the service: It's professional and friendly. With only 88 rooms, this is one of the smallest Jumeirah hotels.
What about the rooms: Lovely designed, but the rooms are the downside at this hotel. The standard rooms are very small including small bathrooms. The shower is not a rain shower and it's not separated from the bathtub. The internet is fast and there is a comfortable working desk, flatscreen Tv and soft bed. If they can fix the shower issue, this is a perfect choice for business travellers travelling alone. Also a big plus for being smoke-free.
Number of rooms: 88 according to their offical site. 87 according to Tripadvisor.
Website: www.jumeirah.com
Type of property: City hotel.
Location: London, United Kingdom.
Facilities: You'll have to go to their sister hotel next door for the facilities.
Complimentary internet: Yes and fast.
My overall impression: Great Experience.
