Bounce Hostel Sydney

Another hostel that I frequently stay at when I'm in Sydney CBD is Bounce. This hostel was awarded as the 'Most Popular Hostel in Sydney' at HostelWorld.com's Hoscar Awards.
The hostel is located across Sydney's Central train station and caters mostly to backpackers. Apart from dormitories they also have private rooms. Guests enjoy 3 communal lounge rooms and a separate TV room. Only downside of staying here is that they don't offer free wifi.

There is a fully-equipped shared kitchen which includes 8 refrigerators.

As for the rooms, I usually stay at the female dorms that have their own private bathrooms. This photo was taken inside room 308 where I share the room with 6 other girls.

Another thing I love about Bounce is that their staff are all very friendly. Plus their rooftop has nice sofas where one can relax and enjoy an amazing view of the city skyscrapers. They also host events like if I'm not mistaken every Wednesdays they have this party bus thing where they provide transport and bring you to a bar where you can party and mingle with other travelers. There's also weekly BBQs where you can buy a burger or sandwich for a dollar! ;)

This is my first hostel experience in Sydney and I loved it. If you plan to book with Bounce Hostel, go for it! ;)

Sydney Central Station

My aunt lives in Penrith City which is an hour away from Sydney CBD. So upon arrival, she gave me my Opal card, the newest electronic mode of payment for transport in New South Wales. You may use the Opal card in trains, light rails, buses and ferries too!

I love the seating arrangement of their trains. It makes traveling much comfortable than the usual face to face seating position. We were always seated in the quiet area which is the first and last carriage of the train.

After our Circular Quay and Bondi walkathon, time for lunch! My aunt brought me to her favorite Japanese restaurant in the city. You might ask, "Why Japanese?!". Well, we both just share the love for Japanese food. Believe it or not, I still have a serious hungover from my Tokyo trip last Febraury. Haha.

Umi Kaiten Zushi is located at 1/477 Pitt Street, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia (Chinatown). They're open from 11:30AM-10:00PM.

It's a bit expensive here, cheapest order of sushi is around AUD2.50 or roughly ₱100.00 per plate. The ones I ordered above costs around AUD8.00-10.00. Ang mahal! But masarap! ;)

Here's the Korean sushi chef Andrew preparing my order of uni sashimi. He reminds me of local basketball superstar Jeron Teng. Cute di ba? Hihi.

After our heavy lunch, we walked around the area of China town.

We also dropped by Paddy's Markets which is the ultimate shopping area of souvenir items for tourists.

Say hi to my Aunt Lourdes! :) You may call her Tita Lulu for short. Hehe.
