Below is my experience based on a one-night stay at the property.
My arrival experience: Warm welcome with a drink before being escorted to the room.
What I loved: The beautiful pool villa I stayed in.
What about the food: The food was a mixed experience. The Japenese food, especially the sushi was quite good, while the western food wasn't good.
What about the service: While the service isn't top professional like in a leading chain hotel, it was personal, kind and warm from the smiling staff. Attention to details is lacking, but I have experienced that often at independent properties in Asia.
What about the rooms: Wonderful pool villas with large private swimming pool. The design was Thai style and the bathroom had a separate rain shower from the bathtub. The missing attention to details come to mind in the bathroom where there was no bath salt and a really bad product for Shampoo, shower gel and conditioner. The kitchen and living room are good for families wanting to cook for themselves.

Facilities: Swimming pool, gym and spa where I had a good treatment, but again with lacking attention to details. No choice of oil, and no form beforehand to personalize the massage. It is one of the only spas I have been to without that, and should be expected for a resort with rates as high as this one.

My overall impression: Good+ experience. Great for families that don't need extraordinary food and service, but private and cook for themselves.
