Introduction: The King David Hotel Jerusalem, one of the world’s legendary hotels, is a major landmark in a unique city. Blending the past and old world refinement, the King David Hotel is unquestionably the most famous of all Jerusalem hotels. Superbly located on an elevated site, the King David Hotel Jerusalem offers incomparable views of the walls, minarets and domes of the Old City.
Only a 15 minute walk from the King David Jerusalem hotel is the Old City with all of its splendor. The Old City is divided into four quarters- the Armenian, Christian, Jewish and Muslim. Each quarter has an incredibly rich history that dates back thousands of years.
For many visitors, the main attractions are its holy places. The Western Wall is the most sacred place for the Jewish people and the Dome of the Rock is considered one of the top three consecrated sites in the Muslim faith. In the Christian Quarter, Jesus' final steps can be followed by walking through the Via Dolorosa. The route ends at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher were Jesus was crucified. The sights and sounds of the Old City are like no other and leave a lasting impression on its visitors.
Above information is how the hotel presents itself on their website.
Below is my experience based on a one-night stay at the property.
My arrival experience: Professional check-in followed by being escorted to the room.
What I loved: The location and the interesting historical city.
What about the food: A large breakfast buffet with no expensive items as far as I could see. A standardized 5-star buffet as you find in many international 5-star hotels around the world.
What about the service: Some of the staff are professional and well-trained, while others were slow. Overall satisfied with the service.
What about the rooms: Beautiful rooms up to the standards of the Leading Hotels of the World. A few details could be better like the shower located within the bathtub like in the old days. My room also had comfortable bed, working desk, sitting area and a nice outdoor patio.
Number of rooms: 233.

Type of property: City hotel.

Complimentary internet: Yes, but very unstable and not possible to get much work done.

My overall impression: Great experience.
